Action Plan

So, the video was fun, eh?! From now on Wednesday is now “Window Wednesday” and I will post a new video!

Now to my Action Plan. A few days ago I wrote about Commitments and I had a few items to do at the end. I am now going to share my Action Plan to begin honoring my commitments. I hope that my action plan inspires you to write your own. Put on some inspiring music, grab a notebook and pen, and get writing! Here it goes:

Rise with the sun.

  1. Be in bed by 10pm with my computer off.
  2. Stop eating after dark.
  3. Practice getting up right away with the alarm.
  4. Meditate in the morning.
  5. Drink a glass of water upon rising.

Expand my design skills.

  1. Buy a subscription to a design learning site like Lynda.com
  2. Spend at least 5 hours per week studying and watching tutorials.
  3. Begin applying techniques to my designs.
  4. Create mock menus, logos, and brochures for practice and portfolio.
  5. When possible, attend local workshops.

Explore my creativity everyday.

  1. Create a watercolor every other day.
  2. Work on mock designs at least once a day.
  3. Add to portfolio.
  4. Attend events at museums and art galleries.

Share my watercolors online.

  1. Find a quality printing company to reproduce my watercolor prints.
  2. Open an Etsy store.
  3. Update Etsy store once a week with a new item for sale.
  4. Blog and post about entries.

Transition to raw living.

  1. Every week add a challenge. (This week is gluten and dairy-free)
  2. Keep kitchen clean and fridge stocked.
  3. Blog frequently: daily.
  4. Stay active with The Raw Divas.

Be physically active.

  1. Attend Pilates class once a week.
  2. Attend yoga class once a week.
  3. Join gym and go twice a week.
  4. Go on long walks on nice days, with Buster (my yorkie).

Create a successful business.

  1. Look for volunteer opportunities.
  2. Attend local business events.
  3. Go to workshops and regional events when possible.
  4. Create and constantly update portfolio.
  5. Contribute to other blogs.

Explore Vancouver.

  1. Look into volunteering for the 2010 Olympics.
  2. Go to a new place every week.
  3. Attend meet-ups once a month.

  1. Me again, I didn’t realize you were from Vancouver. I’m in Quebec at the moment, but my boyfriend & I are planning to move eventually. We were thinking somewhere tropical (hello coconuts and durians!) but we might end up somewhere completely different like BC too. :)

    I love your plan, I think you’re going to rawk this world!

    Vancouver is gorgeous, and I just moved here which is why one of my goals is to explore the city! We will be moving back to the States next year, so I need to absorb this place as much as possible.
    Somewhere tropical sounds nice, too ;)
