Juicy Review

health-juicer

Another thing I would like to incorporate into Raw Living is product reviews. They are fun, helpful, and informative for potential buyers. Sooooo, my first product review is here!

The Healthy Juicer I just received in the mail yesterday and I am extremely excited about it. The #1 reason this juicer appealed to me initially was the price. Juicers are expensive. Everyone is cutting back on spending. If you want an affordable juicer, this is definitely it! The investment is just $50 (depending on where you buy the price may vary). This is a steal for a juicer.

I have used it twice since I opened the package yesterday. The first thing I made was carrot juice. Today I made a kale-apple-carrot juice which started my day off wonderfully!

Pros:

  1. The price!
  2. It is really easy to take apart and clean. I just rinse with water and let it dry on a rack.
  3. Portability. If you need to take a juicer with you on a trip, this is the one ;)
  4. It juices wheatgrass, veggies (celery, carrots, etc.), fruit (pineapple, apples, oranges, etc.), green leaves (kale, parsley, etc.), and more.
  5. You can use just the suction bottom for stability, or add the clamp for extra sturdiness.

Cons:

  1. It is manual, which takes some might and energy on your part.
  2. You can only feed a small portion of produce at a time (like two baby carrots, or a few pieces of an apple).
  3. A small ledge for the clamp is important, and if you don’t have one you can’t use the clamp.
  4. The white plastic is already slightly stained from juicing carrots (after two uses).

Now I need to figure out what to do with the pulp, because I just hate throwing it away! Also, I am looking into growing/buying fresh wheatgrass so I can start making my own fresh juice at home. Very exciting stuff ;)

On the next edition of Window Wednesday, I will give you a visual of how it works. Don’t forget to subscribe!

I’d never heard of this juicer, thanks for sharing! We like to mix our pulp with some flax seeds, soak them all for about 30 minutes in some water and then dehydrate them as crackers. I don’t know if you have a dehydrator, but the Nesco dehydrator can be found on Amazon for around $60.00. You just want to make sure it has a thermostat.

Thanks for the tip on how to use pulp. I don’t have a dehydrator, or a high-speed blender. I am currently saving for a blender and dehydrator, can’t wait to try flax cracker recipes!

    Oh, one more thing…
How in the world do you get the actual little “pictures” for the raw diva stuff? I mean, I have their links on my blog, but I don’t have all the cool pictures or logos, whatever they’re called.

Can you help me out with that? And yes, I signed up for the affiliates, but still can’t figure out how to get the pics.
